Presented by Boise State University and the National Endowment for the Humanities, in partnership with the Idaho Humanities Council.

AGENDA:
The day’s activities include an overview of National Endowment for the Humanities programs and special initiatives presented by Dr. John Cox, Senior Program Officer for the NEH, followed by a mock panel review session offering strategies for developing strong applications to the NEH. Idaho Humanities Council Executive Director Rick Ardinger will also provide an overview of Idaho Humanities Council grants programs.


ONE on ONE:
Private consultations with Dr. John Cox, NEH Program Officer, will be available in the form of 20 minute appointments on a first come-first served basis from 2 p.m.- 5 p.m.

To reserve a slot, please send an e-mail by Feb. 15, 2015 to Kimberly Long at kimberlylong at boisestate.edu<mailto:kimberlylong at boisestate.edu>, and if possible, include a one-page abstract or draft of your NEH proposal.


NEH GRANTS:
·         Strengthen teaching and learning in schools and colleges.
·         Facilitate research and original scholarship.
·         Provide opportunities for lifelong learning.
·         Reserve and provide access to cultural and educational resources.
·         Strengthen the institutional base of the humanities.

NEH grants typically go to cultural institutions, such as museums, archives, libraries, colleges, universities, public television and radio stations, and to individual scholars.
