Help others help themselves!Provide basic computer, internet and job 
skills instruction to library patrons on the beautiful southern Oregon 
coast. Help patrons acquire skills necessary to succeed.

Coos Bay Public Library is currently recruiting an AmeriCorps volunteer 
to serve as a Digital Literacy & Job Skills Trainer. The trainer will 
provide services to public library patrons to help address the digital 
divide in the community, especially in relation to employment and 
government access.The trainer will develop and deliver technology 
classes and workshops; provide one-on-one assistance in basic computer 
skills, resumes preparation, on-line application assistance including 
email, and basic internet skills for job searching.Will generate related 
documents and resources. Will work collaboratively with staff to develop 
a succession plan, including recruitment and training of volunteers.
