In April at the OLA conference we will be discussing the book *Terrorist's
Son: A Story of Choice* by Zak Ebrahim. I was fortunate enough to attend
the ALEX awards program at the ALA conference last summer. Mr. Ebrahim
spoke movingly about growing up a poor Muslim with a single mother, whose
family had to move repeatedly because of who his father was. He was taught
to hate, yet became a peace activist. His book is a quick read with his
profoundly affecting story.

The book began as a TED talk and became the first book of the new imprint
of Simon and Schuster.

Here is his TED talk
