*         Teens as Partners: Successful Teen Services<http://www.webjunction.org/news/webjunction/successful-teen-services-webinar-writeup.html> - Library Journal Mover & Shaker Courtney Saldana recently presented a webinar on teen services. Saldana highlighted a few successful services and programs that she has lead at Ontario City Library (CA); in particular how she worked with her teen advisory group and administration to create and then update a teens-only space in their library, much detail on tips to organizing a successful book festival and showcased the program Skills for Teen Parents (STeP). Saldana provided best practices, advice and concrete steps you can take for all three services.

*         Fall into Learning with New Free Courses<http://www.webjunction.org/news/webjunction/new-courses.html> - the WebJunction Course Catalog<http://learn.webjunction.org/> has a new, free course from the Chief Officers of State Library Agencies (COSLA) on 21st century community engagement for libraries. The accompanying learner's guide will assist your learning by prompting you to reflect as you view each of the three sections in the course. And we have also updated the course, Introduction to Cataloging for Non-Catalogers. Topics include the underlying concepts of cataloging, an explanation of why cataloging is important, an overview of the characteristics and varieties of library cataloging, and different types of cataloging activity.
