We have been talking about how retailers “upsell” their customers. We want to try it at the services counter, but aren’t sure where to start. Does anyone have any suggestions for trainers either specifically or generally?

Examples:
“Oh, I see you have children under 5; have you heard about our storytimes?”…conversation ensues, flyer handed out.
“You are checking out many audio books; did you know you can download audio books? Did you know we had playaways?”
“All those knitting books look interesting; you should check out our knitters club on Mondays.”
