Hello to all,
The Citizen Advocacy 101 workshop on Monday at St Johns Branch Library [MCL]
night was a smashing success! We had 41 people with some others not being
able to stay because of space. Many folks ended up having to stand, or sit
on the floor [or, stand outside the door] to fit all we could.
Of the 31 evaluations the library received, 25 people ranked the program
"Excellent" and 6 "Good".
Verbatim comments:
I would like to see more presentations related to this topic!
More classes, more often!
Thanks so much for hosting this!! I think that this sort of event is
perfectly in line with the spirit of public libraries, and I think we need
ya'll now more than ever.
Please bring Donna back for her digital [Misinformation] workshop.
Key events like this should get more space allocated.
We would love more talks like this one about citizen advocacy.
Donna was fabulous. Engaging speaker and shared some really useful
knowledge.
Please offer this at more libraries in bigger spaces - it was packed.
This was fabulous! We need more of them, and a bigger space. The event was
standing room only and with people at the door.
Thank you for hosting this! More like this please!
More lectures like this please. Bring Donna back, she is a smart woman!
A wonderful presentation.
I loved this presentation! Donna had a lot of information and provided a lot
of resources.
Please continue hosting workshops like these. They are very helpful and
resourceful.
She was great and the room was quickly beyond capacity and we only just saw
this today. I'm interested in her workshop on fake news, too.
Especially appreciated the information on tracking [legislation]
Would I hope you would do this talk every week somewhere? Yes!
I enjoyed the history section and would like to learn more. Areas of
interest, voting reform, gerrymandering and so much more! Thanks Donna
you're the bomb!
Thank you! Look forward to more!
Great! Thank you!
