We've had a ScanPro 2000 unit for about 8 years. I highly recommend it.
The digital editing & file saving features are great.
We just need to upgrade to the newer 3000 model.

Subject: [Libs-Or] Micofilm Readers
Hi All,
After digitizing our local paper from 1888 to 1922, we still have 90+ years
on microfilm and no willingness by our local paper to grant us copyright
permission to digitize those holdings.
So, we're looking for a "modern" microfilm reader that can allow our users
to email their searches and do a much better job of adjusting the microfilm
for better copies and to use in their Word and other documents.
Who's bought equipment lately and do you recommend a particular vendor. Our
Friends and Foundation are ready to purchase after the new year so I'd like
to move forward now and any advice from those of you that have upgraded
lately would be appreciated.
Thanks
Leah
