Dear Librarians and Authors,
I have the privilege of guest-editing the Winter 2017 Oregon Library
Association Quarterly. This issue’s theme is Sushi, STEM, or Goat Yoga:
Successful Library Programming. Do you have a program your library has been
super successful with? Do your millennials need a brief Adulting 101
course? How did the mini goats and yoga on the Library lawn turn out for
you? Do you think other libraries might enjoy a fantastic program you just
did? Do you have a unique hybrid of collaborations that just might spur
other libraries on to greatness? Please share! It doesn’t matter if you are
an academic, school, private, public library or anything in between. If you
have a successful program, we want to hear about it!
The OLAQ is the official publication of the Oregon Library Association. It
showcases the work of authors who work in or are interested in Oregon
Libraries.
This is an opportunity to have your writing published in a professional
journal which is indexed in many library science databases. If you are
interested in writing for this issue, please email me a brief, 150-word
proposal at *emoberg at cityofseaside.us <emoberg at cityofseaside.us>*. The
submission and publication schedule for this issue is:
Article proposal deadline: November 27th
First draft deadline: January 22nd
Publishing Goal: March 15th, 2018
Articles average 1500-2500 words. Citations need to be in APA style. If you
need some help, OLAQ’s team of editors is happy to help. The OLA Quarterly
is indexed by Library Literature and Information Science and Library,
Information Science and Technology Abstracts. Full text of the OLAQ is also
available through HW Wilson’s Library Literature and Information Science
Full Text and EBSCO Publishing’s Library, Information Science and
Technology Abstracts (LISTA) with Full Text.
