Good afternoon, 
Our new Library Director started in Jackson County:
 
 
Welcome Kari May as our new Library Director of Jackson County Library Services. Most recently, Kari was the Assistant Director of the Utah State Library, working with the State Librarian to oversee administration of library services across the state of Utah and managing the Resources and Development teams. Prior to the Utah State Library, Kari served as Director of Pines & Plains Libraries in Elbert County, Colorado and held multiple positions at the High Plains Library District in Colorado. Kari holds a MLIS from University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, a MA in English from Appalachian State University and a BA in English from Washington and Lee University. Kari moved to Southern Oregon with her Chocolate Lab, Sydney, who helps her get out and explore the new areas around her. They like to hike and run, when it’s not too smoky outside. Kari also enjoys cooking from locally-sourced food and owns more books than someone with daily access to a library should need.  
We are excited to have Kari leading Jackson County Library Services!​
