**Apologies for cross-posting**
Good morning OER advocates! You are cordially invited to submit a proposal
to present at the annual *Washington State Canvas Conference* (WACC), which
will be held March 28-29, 2019, at Tacoma Community College. The 2019
conference theme is *Engage*! Everyone is invited to submit, including
out-of-state presenters, and they are especially looking for librarians to
present on open educational resources (OER), one of the main sub-tracks of
the conference.
Even if you are not a Canvas school, there is still a lot to glean from
this conference. Canvas offers a free account to anyone via Free for
Teachers, and the Canvas Commons repository that can be accessed via Free
for Teachers has a lot of OER and IL content.
Additionally, there will be sessions that relate to any LMS use. Proposals
can be on any topic related to Canvas, IT, educational technology, open
educational resources (OER), accessibility, equitable and inclusive
teaching practices, student services, student retention, and more! The
conference is affordable and a great opportunity for collaboration. For
background on the conference and past conference sessions and recordings,
view the WACC site at https://wa-cc.com/
The deadline for submission has been extended through December 28th. To
submit a proposal, click the link below or copy-and-paste the link into
your browser.
