*Two New Member Round Table Leadership Positions AvailableNew Member Round
Table (NMRT) is seeking candidates for two positions to take office on
September 1.Chair (2 year commitment)This person will take office on
September 1, 2018 and remain in that position until August 31, 2019. After
serving as chair for one year, this person would serve in a support role as
past chair. The candidate for this position will work with the outgoing
chair to learn the ropes. Once the new chair takes office, the past chair
will continue to provide support as needed through the term. Being in a
leadership position looks great on a resume and is an easy volunteer
position. The chair will plan and attend NMRT events, communicate with
members via email and Facebook, host events, and work with the vice chair
to expand and improve the group. There are also housekeeping tasks such as
filing the annual report, answering email inquiries, and communicating with
the OLA executive board. The time commitment is minimal, about three hours
per month with more time around the annual conference in April in addition
to planning and attending quarterly events. Vice Chair (2 year
commitment)This person will take office on September 1, 2018 and remain in
that position until August 31, 2019 at which time the individual would
become the chair of NMRT for one year. Being in a leadership position looks
great on a resume and is an easy volunteer position.The vice chair will
help plan and attend NMRT events, communicate with members via email and
Facebook, possibly host one or more events, and work with the chair to
expand and improve the group. The time commitment would be minimal, maybe
an hour every other month with possibly more time around the annual
conference in April in addition to attending quarterly events when
