Salary Range: $71,635.20 - $95,992.00 annually.  The successful candidate
will expect to start at the low end of the range.

library, we are looking for you.  If you are looking to become a director
we can teach you budgeting, human resources, and politics.  You’ll help
develop policies and procedures and learn all of the advanced expertise it
takes to run a library system.

The ideal candidate for the Butte County Assistant Director is
future-oriented, innovative librarian who believes in the mission of the
local public library and who is a responsive, proactive leader. This
candidate has an aptitude and interest in human resources management and a
knack with numbers since the position serves as the Library’s budget
officer.

This person will understand that the library must always be sensitive to
the constantly changing needs of the local communities so an interest in
how current and future technologies apply in a library is essential. A bias
toward action is strongly preferred.
