Hi all –
Reminder..
I wanted to let you know that on Friday 30 November Kelly McElroy will be presenting about what she is learning at the Library Freedom Institute.
What:
A Harm Reduction Approach: Applying the Library Freedom Institute in our work at OSULP
The Library Freedom Institute is the first national training program for librarians focused on digital privacy and security. In this interactive session, you will get an overview of the LFI program and practice applying privacy concepts like data minimization and threat modeling in your own work. Overall, we will consider questions to inform how we ensure privacy for library users and ourselves.
When:
30 November, 10-11.30am (though it may not last the entire 90 minutes)
Where:
Autzen Classroom (Main floor) of The Valley Library at Oregon State in Corvallis
Also we are going to try to webex folks in as well: https://oregonstate.webex.com/join/brooke.robertshaw
I know the title says “in our work at OSULP” but it will be applicable to other libraries as well.
:)
Brooke
