Greetings!

PLA is offering a two-part webinar series this month on Cultural Intelligence, please see below for more information. Please note: registration is required and there is a deadline.

The term "cultural intelligence," popularly abbreviated as CQ, refers to a person's ability to function effectively across the boundaries that divide nations, ethnic groups and organizations. The series will consist of two hour-long webinars, the first focused on building cultural intelligence skills and the second on applying them in libraries. After learning the core concepts and competencies in part one, participants will explore, in part two, how CQ can inform library policies, services and programs. The webinars will be presented in a highly interactive format and each participant will receive a useful workbook that can be used to operationalize CQ concepts.
