[Libs-Or] funding for health related outreach from NNLM PNR

Hello everyone,

The National Network of Libraries of Medicine Pacific Northwest Region<https://nnlm.gov/pnr> (NNLM PNR) is announcing an opportunity for your libraries to apply for one of the NNLM PNR All of Us Community Engagement Awards<https://nnlm.gov/pnr/funding/nnlm-all-us-community-engagement-award>, each up to $100,000. Please note: award applications for any amount up to $100,000 will be considered. This is a wonderful opportunity to implement your great ideas for advancing health literacy and health equity in your communities.

The goals of the Community Outreach Awards are to foster awareness of the NIH All of Us Research Program<https://www.joinallofus.org/en> and promote health literacy and health equity through:

  *   improving consumer access to quality, evidence-based health information
  *   providing programs, education and outreach focused on addressing community health needs
  *   addressing digital health literacy skills development
  *   increasing the understanding and importance of participation in clinical trials, including the All of Us Research Program

Creative approaches to meeting the health literacy needs through community engagement are encouraged.  Consider focusing on any topics that support the aims of NIH All of Us Research Program, such as how biology, environment or lifestyle influence health.

Interested in applying? Please note the following deadlines:

  *   Letter of Intent providing a brief description of the proposed project, must be submitted no later than Wednesday, September 11, 2019.  Please send your Letter of Intent to: nnlm at uw.edu<mailto:nnlm at uw.edu> and include Community Engagement Award in the subject line.
  *   Submission deadline for your completed application is Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 3:00 Pacific Time (late submissions will not be accepted).
