The following came across my inbox via PLA:

To increase local training opportunities for public library staff, PLA is partnering with Multnomah County (Ore.) Library, Palo Alto (Calif.) City Library and Jacksonville (Fla.) Public Library to offer regional space-planning workshops<http://ala.informz.net/z/cjUucD9taT04NzY3MTUzJnA9MSZ1PTEwMTg3ODQzMTcmbGk9NjkwNDAwNTc/index.html> later this year.

These full-day workshops, facilitated by New York University Professor David Vinjamuri, will teach attendees best practices for planning library spaces and how to critically assess the functionality of their spaces. Space Planning: Reinventing Your Library Space will be offered at the following three dates and locations:
