All:
I am attaching our narrative for your review. I am excited to continue the work of the archives. I worked with an amazing grant writer and without providing a formal endorsement due to City Policy I would recommend working with someone if you do not have solid Grant writing capabilities. It is a great program and we were fortunate to meet with a representative from IMLS during her holiday travel to Portland. If you have further questions let me know. Our grant writer was Rachael Woody.

Subject: [PL-Directors] IMLS grant opportunity for small libraries - year 2!
*****EXTERNAL SENDER*****
Hello!
The IMLS has just announced a second year of available grant funding through their Accelerating Promising Practices for Small Libraries<https://www.imls.gov/news/calling-small-libraries-imls-opens-grant-program-second-year> initiative. The focus of this opportunity aims to support efforts that focus on digital inclusion, community memory, and transforming school library practice. Public, school, tribal, and special libraries, as well as most academic libraries, are eligible to apply for projects which will serve small and/or rural communities.
FYI, the Astoria Public Library is just getting started on a project<https://www.imls.gov/grants/awarded/lg-27-19-0187-19> funded through the first year of this grant program. They are the only Oregon library and one of 30 small libraries nationwide so far to receive an Accelerating Promising Practices grant.
Please visit the IMLS website<https://www.imls.gov/grants/available/accelerating-promising-practices-small-libraries> for more info. Deadline to apply is December 2, 2019.
