[Libs-Or] Bill concerning prescription drugs labeled in other languages

Hello All,

Just want to attached these 2 Bills concerning our Multi-Cultural Communities. When interacting with your Limited English Proficiency patrons, please let them know is their right to ask their doctors to request the prescription label of their medicine to be printed in English and the language of their preference (According the bill 14 of common languages spoken in USA are included in this bill, I don't have all listed yet). All health professionals including Pharmacists must be aware of this new regulation and must be equipped to comply with the terms of this bill pretty soon.

The other House Bill..." Requires specified professional regulatory boards to require persons authorized to practice professions regulated by board to complete cultural competency continuing education". This is a great accomplishment for all immigrants of all cultural backgrounds and I step forward towards multi-cultural acceptance and respect!
