*LIBRARY DIRECTOR POSITION OPENING*



Jefferson Public Library has an opening for a Library Director, 32 hrs. per
week.  Duties include management of all aspects of the part-time library
operations including reference, circulation, collection development and
maintenance, and programming.  High school graduate, experience working in
a library, and a valid Oregon driver’s license is required; a degree in
library science is favorable.  Experience with computers, modern library
systems and working with children is highly desirable.  Some travel to/from
meetings will be required.  The library, located in its brand-new building,
serves the population of 3000, and rural south Marion County.  As members
of the Chemeketa Cooperative Regional Library Service, the library has
access to the full collections of all other 18 member libraries.  Hourly
wage of $23.06 - $24.10 depending on experience, plus availability of a
shared benefit package. Applications may be obtained at Jefferson City Hall
