Job Summary:

The North Douglas Library District is looking for an enthusiastic and
engaging individual for a District Librarian position. The District
Librarian provides library services, programming, and outreach to the
community members of the newly formed North Douglas Library District in
Drain, Oregon.  This library was previously a branch of the Douglas County
Library System, and was closed by the county in 2017.  Citizens in the
community recently voted to reopen the Mildred Whipple Library in Drain by
forming a special district, which is funded through a property tax base.
This is a unique opportunity for a proven, visionary leader to have a
significant impact on an exceptional library district and community.
Overseen by the district governing board, this position includes library
management, technological services, acquisitions, cataloging and
processing, circulation, and programming for adults and youth in the
district.  As the library is open 24 hours per week, this is a part-time
position of 28 hours per week.
