[Libs-Or] job announcement - part-time reference librarian pool at PCC

Portland Community College Library, in Portland OR, is hiring
on-call/part-time reference librarians at the Cascade, Rock Creek,
Southeast, and Sylvania campuses. Applicants need to be available for
weekday evening and weekend shifts, and to work at all campuses. The
present need is for on-call librarians who are available to work shifts on
short notice.  Regular part-time hours may be available in the future.
Applicants should be experienced in taking a teaching approach to reference.



JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the library dean, the on-call/part-time reference
librarian will assist students in using the tools of research, provide
expertise and assistance in answering reference questions, staff the
research help desk, including phone, email, and chat, and teach information
literacy classes, with guidance from the department chair.



The starting hourly rate for this position is $44.23 per hour.
