Little Stone Project, 2017
Dear community member
Oregon Humanities has allocated an additional $5,000 for Responsive Program Grants for programs taking place before December 31, 2019. We are also currently accepting letters of interest for the 2020 Public Program Grants.
Oregon Humanities is committed to funding programming that centers those most affected by a topic in order to highlight perspectives that have been historically undervalued, and particularly programming based in and led by rural communities and/or communities of color.
Oregon Humanities’ grants help support programs that help communities explore complex topics, build community voice and power, and are timely and responsive. Programs can be in multiple languages or be in a language other than English.
We invite you to learn more about these two funding opportunities below:

Oregon Humanities’ Responsive Program Grants enable nonprofit organizations and federally recognized tribes in Oregon to address urgent or timely issues in their communities. Awards of up to $1,000 are given on a rolling basis until the allocated funds have been fully awarded.
Oregon Humanities has allocated additional funds for grants in our current fiscal year to find ways to respond to the causes and effects of the recent escalation of violence and hatred towards members of our communities at local, state, and national levels. An additional $5,000 is available for programs taking place before December 31, 2019 and we are inviting community groups affected by this escalation of violence to apply now through October 20, 2019.
Guidelines for the 2020 Responsive Program Grants will be live on our website the first week of October.
