* Speaker: Jane Canfield, Coordinator of Federal Documents, Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico
* Summary: The U.S. Census Bureau indicates that 350 different languages are spoken in the United States. Approximately 140 languages are spoken in each major metropolitan area. Some of those speakers of other languages may be users of information in your area. If you want to provide better service to these users, then this webinar is for you. The webinar will cover methods for discovering Government information in other languages and will focus on sources such as USA.gov<http://usa.gov/>, Medline, and the CDC. It will present tips on discovering what topics your users who speak other languages need and search techniques for finding those topics. The webinar will also cover what kind of information the U.S. Government does not publish in other languages. Finally, the webinar will add some procedures for finding state and local government information in other languages.

For those participating via a desktop or laptop computer (preferred method), a WebEx plug-in must be installed (one-time only). Some features will not be available for users participating with a tablet or smartphone.Devices need to have a WebEx app installed from the device's app store, which may take time. After installation, the app will ask for you to allow or deny permissions.
