  *   Understanding the Impact of Social Distancing on Occupancy<https://www.usfa.fema.gov/coronavirus/planning_response/occupancy_social_distancing.html> (US Fire Administration)
Basic info on calculating occupancy. Recommends 113 sq. ft per person, which is what the CDC also recommends.

  *   Social Distancing Space Calculator<https://covid19.colorado.gov/social-distancing-calculator> (Colorado Dept of Public Health & Environment)
Has some info on properly calculating capacity. There's also a link to a social distancing calculator<https://app.calconic.com/public/calculator/5ef21c169444bf0029086759?layouts=true> that takes into account your furniture and shelving. It uses the conservative figure of 144 sq. ft. per person. If you'd rather use the CDC 113 ft figure, the formula is:

     Building square feet x (100% - % of space occupied by furniture, shelves, etc.) / 113 sq. ft.

  *   Reopening under COVID-19: A Space Planning Approach<https://ala.informz.net/ala/data/images/PL_Reopening%20Under%20COVID%2019.pdf> (PLA, Public Libraries)
A good overview of what to consider when reopening library buildings, including occupancy and ensuring 6' physical distance. While it's directed at public libraries, it may be useful to other types of libraries as well.
