Subject: [REFORMANET] ALA-IFC Facial Recognition survey
To: REFORMA <REFORMANet at googlegroups.com>

The American Library Association’s Intellectual Freedom Committee (ALA-IFC)
has recently convened a Facial Recognition Working Group to explore the
implications of facial recognition software in relation to libraries of all
types. The group is currently working to put together informational
materials, including a Q&A, to assist librarians in answering questions
from their communities and colleagues and informing local policy regarding
the new trend of facial recognition. The working group would very much
appreciate your participation in the linked five question survey. These
survey questions will help us to better understand and center the concerns
of our library community regarding this type of technology.

Please visit this link to complete the brief, four-question survey:

Contact OIF at ala.org or jdd10 at cornell.edu <wjdd10 at cornell.edu> with any
questions about this survey. Thank you.

 Best,
