[Libs-Or] FW: Public Library response to COVID-19 (at this moment....)

Multiple universities across Oregon and Washington are still open even
though they have said they are operating online only. The student centers
are still open. The dorms are still open. The libraries are still open.
Food service is still open. Most buildings are still open. Many students
are still there along with lower paid non-essential staff. This appears to
be reckless, hazardous, and socially irresponsible. It would be one thing
if all the people there were hunkered down and staying exclusively on
campus, but that is not the case. Surrounding bars in Oregon are still open
and college students love to party. How come the most educated among us do
not seem to understand what flattening the curve means?
