Oh my goodness! And now I apologized to the wrong person.
Ruth, I am sorry for for interrupting your listserv thread on the free contact info tracing course.
Jere, sorry for dragging you into this.
Everyone, sorry I'm cluttering up the listserv.
Would somebody please stop me before I have to apologize again!

I owe Jere a big apology for hijacking the thread. I hear contract tracing and I'm like one of Pavlov's dogs who immediately goes into manual library contact tracing mode.
I am very sorry, Jere, for interrupting your listserv thread on the free contact info tracing course.
And thanks to the person who gently informed me of what I should have noticed had I properly read the entire email in the first place.
Party on, library folk. (Phew! Almost forgot the comma there.)

Have y'all seen this article? I found it to be interesting especially in light that one of Vailey's questions last Friday was this very thing.

Greetings, all. Is anyone considering contact tracing as a way to deploy staff to help local, statewide, or regional response to C-19? Some have begun talking about this because of the seeming compatibility of library reference skill sets and the "contact tracer."
For the curious-minded, see this announced launch (New York) of a free, six-hour online training, for anyone worldwide.
