[Libs-Or] Changes to Oregon's statewide database offerings

The Statewide Database Licensing Committee (SDLAC) has been working closely
with Arlene Weible, Statewide Database Licensing Program (SDLP) coordinator
from the State Library on the program’s recent Request For Proposal (RFP)
to renew online skills-building and test preparation offerings. The current
contract expires on October 31st. After working through the RFP process and
evaluating proposals, I’m pleased to announce that after all the scores
were tallied, EBSCO was the successful proposer, and the SDLAC has
recommended the State Library pursue a new contract for the LearningExpress
Library <https://libguides.osl.state.or.us/SDLP_FAQ/LEL>. In addition to
the base product, the committee is also recommending that the Job and
Career Accelerator, and Computer Skills Center be renewed, and that the
PrepStep (Academic & High School), and the Personal Success Skills modules
be added to the contract as well.

More information will become available as the State Library moves forward
