Hello! *Join NNLM for a conversation with the authors of On the Job*

The pandemic triggered the term "essential workers" and brought attention
to the nexus of unsafe jobs and public health.

Authors Celeste Monforton and Jane Von Bergen crisscrossed the country,
speaking with domestics workers, dairy hands, poultry processing, and
others to learn how essential workers are advocating for safety in the
workplace. Their book is *On the Job: The Untold Story of Worker Centers
and the New Fight for Wages, Dignity, and Health.*


Reporter Maryam Jameel will moderate a conversation with the authors about
"worker centers" and the connection between these community organizations
and social determinants of health.
