Dear colleagues,

With apologies for the short turnaround, sharing the call below, which includes a link to the full ALA press release about the CFP for posters.

ACRL Women and Gender Studies Section

2021 Research Poster Session at ALA: Call for Proposals

The Women and Gender Studies Section (WGSS) invites proposals for the 2021 WGSS Research Poster Session, which will be held virtually, as part of the ALA Annual Virtual Conference, from June 23-29, 2021. Poster session participants create digital posters with pictures, data, graphs, diagrams, narrative text, and audio descriptions. See full ALA press release<https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ala.org%2Fnews%2Fmember-news%2F2021%2F02%2F2021-ala-annual-conference-exhibition-virtual-poster-session-submission-site-now&data=04%7C01%7Cjrg15%40psu.edu%7Cec8fc0538c0c45a7c4a308d8ceb44d9e%7C7cf48d453ddb4389a9c1c115526eb52e%7C0%7C0%7C637486621088271329%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C2000&sdata=8ZRwaVG8jD7Uzn8GSU0vU6gYYAc33TQmUpMhqkxagGI%3D&reserved=0> for more details.

The potential scope of the topics includes, but is not limited to, teaching partnerships, critical information literacy initiatives, critical cataloging, archival practices, collection development, and scholarly communications related to women and gender studies. Topics dealing with feminism and librarianship are also welcome.

This year we are particularly encouraging posters related to the theme of the WGSS panel program: Transforming our Libraries for Everyone: Decolonization Trials, Tribulations, and Successes. See the bottom of this email for the full program description.

The deadline for submitting an application for the poster session is March 8th, 2021. Following a double-blind peer-review process, applicants will be notified in April if their submission has been accepted for presentation at the conference.
