The City of Cornelius is recruiting for a full-time Public Services / Volunteer Coordinator to join the dedicated staff in the newest Washington County Library, the Cornelius Public Library. We are seeking a high energy, self-motivated, community-minded professional who will embrace our passion to celebrate ideas, promote creativity, connect people and enrich lives.
Duties Include:

  *   Overseeing the processes of circulation services, including registration, material check in/out and assisting patrons on the use of library services and equipment.
  *   Overseeing library physical space to assign collection maintenance tasks such as shelving, shifting and shelf-reading.
  *   Responsibility for planning, organizing and generally overseeing the volunteer program in addition to performing daily activities within library operations.
Salary begins at $4,194 monthly with benefits.  This position is eligible for a bilingual incentive. Weekends and/or evenings are required; schedule will be Sunday through Thursday. Tentative start date is August 16, 2021. Apply by: 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2021.
