This webinar is open to the public and will be recorded for future views.

This presentation will review research regarding use of OER, or Open Educational Resources, by faculty and students in higher education. Faculty and students present differing perspectives and responses to OER that may influence their adoption and use. Librarians have an opportunity to assist faculty and students in adoption and use of OER. Libraries may be able to create viable and valuable OER programs that benefit their faculty, students and other stakeholders at their institution.

Jeanette Parker is the Reference & Instruction Librarian at Newman University in Wichita, KS, where she has been for seven years. She is currently a student in the Ph.D. program at SLIM. She earned her MLS degree from SLIM in 2007. Jeanette's research interests include information literacy instruction in higher education.
