MOBILE - Happyfeed.co for Gratitude & Happiness
Intermediate
One way to increase your positivity and appreciation is to be thankful for not only the big things, but the little things that happen in your life.
It could be not hitting a single red light on the way to work, wearing your favorite fuzzy socks on a cold day or sinking your teeth into the last chewy, chocolate brownie.

In fact, there are studies that show huge benefits when you verbalize or write down even the smallest blessings on a regular basis. People have noted that in addition to a mindset that shifts to caring less about materialism and more about generosity, they have found the added results of sleeping better, lowered stress and improved interpersonal relationships. Wow!
It's easy to overlook the little things that have such a big impact on your happiness so writing in a journal is one way to practice gratitude. However, in our "techy" world, you know there's an app for this that will give you a little daily nudge to help keep you consistent.
So… if you need a little bit of structure for creating a more positive outlook and bringing wonderful things in your life, Happyfeed.co helps you practice gratitude.
This app is available for both iOS and Android devices, is free and easy to use. Oh, and you can use it on your computer as well!

Get Your HappyFeed.co App
You can certainly set up your account online at https://www.happyfeed.co<https://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=00180gsGkYuQX02ruMZ6BMMvboN2hraDgDAwnphuSECwpMNVc1GE6Ucw5NXWHpwXaFl37bm5vV9i7S8EdU2nNwCLFYJxLVeIa-ERmkKNJhkhczyFXnpjEUemYUx9faVJBnEqYXyShcg9biQa-zWnCZVgQ==&c=8RqkxhW-S0wP_d1rp9RaLd-17KEBuOvy7wzuccoPk7ADLrB9qzFVVQ==&ch=_6_FJEovnSlaDO9BrUunOvAEDdPvO7i5TxXYfm66SV-U8DznylqV7A==> and use it on your computer or laptop device. And this platform was designed as a simple app so that you would have it at your side all the time.
To find it, go to the App Store on iOS devices (iPhone or iPad) or get it on Google Play for Androids.
Three Parts to HappyFeed
[moments]
Happyfeed is designed to train your brain to pick out the positive things in your life. This free little app has three main parts to it. Choose to use one or all of them.
1. Create journal entries noting the positive things in your life and things you are thankful for.
They call these Moments.
· Set up notifications so that you are reminded to make your journal entry at the best time for you. For instance, you could schedule the reminder for 8pm so that you end your day focusing on the positive.
· Add text, images or emojis for each "moment."
· The app will track how many days you have used it in a row – called a "streak."
2. Receive daily reminders, quotes, and memories from your past.
Just enable this feature and you'll get inspiration every day on your app.

[Happiness jar]
3. Reflect on Happy
The "Happiness Jar" is a fun feature to revisit your past entries.
Just click the icon at the top of your screen and shake your phone (yes, physically shake your phone!).
It will show you a random moment from your "happy feed" for reflection and inspiration.
[create a pod]
BONUS!
Although Happyfeed is designed to use personally, you can join a group or a "Pod" (kind of like being friends with someone on Facebook). Here you can share your success with your friends, family or peers.
You could even create a 30-day Happiness or Gratitude challenge in your work group, with students or friends to encourage others to stay positive and find more happiness in their lives as well.

Communication: Punctuality
Does anyone care if you're on time?
OK, so you're late. Who cares, you think. You get your work done. If it's a meeting you're tardy for, people can start without you. You're not that important, right?
Wrong!
You are very important in your workplace. Whether you're doing routine tasks or working on something big, each individual is "vital" to the efficient and productive flow of the organization.
When you're late, a ripple occurs. And it makes an impact. You may not notice it, but it's there. It has an effect. Repeated lateness erodes morale.
Being punctual shows mutual respect. It communicates, "I respect you" and "I want to keep the respect you have for me by being on time."
When you're late, respect begins to dwindle. Make it a point to demonstrate your desire to support others in a positive manner, by being punctual.

Leadership
Keep Employees Informed
In this third article in a six-part series about keeping good people from becoming organizationally indifferent, we look at the "glue" ... communications.
With so much going on in your world, it’s easy to get caught up in tasks such as handling crisis situations and devising plans to create more programs.
The problem occurs when managers get so wrapped up in their duties that they forget to inform their employees about what they are doing. With little or no communication from their supervisors, employees feel disconnected. Since they don't know what is going on, they don't feel as much a part of the organization.
There are several ways to make sure your employees don't get left behind. You can keep them informed and "in the know" about the latest developments in your company by:
· Scheduling regular group meetings.
· Taking the time to meet one-on-one with each employee (Yes, it may take some time, but it will be well worth it in the long run).
· Creating status reports on a regular basis and sharing them.
By keeping your employees in the information loop, you will help them avoid unnecessary frustration and confusion – two feelings that often lead to organizational indifference. When everyone in your world knows exactly what is going on, the group will run much more smoothly and more productively.
