[Libs-Or] OLA Quarterly publication: addressing inclusivity and extending deadlines

Hello library community,



I wanted to reach out with a message of inclusivity about OLA’s recent Call
for Submissions for the upcoming winter issue of the OLA Quarterly and an
extension of the deadline for submissions to November 1st.



The mission of the OLA Quarterly is to showcase the innovative work of
Oregon library workers, students, partner organizations, and volunteers. *If
you are experiencing barriers to the writing process and have an important
idea to share, please do not hesitate to submit. OLA will be offering a
team of editors to support authors in the writing process and otherwise
help eliminate barriers to professional publishing. *



As a reminder, the theme for the upcoming issue is privacy and security,
and will be guest-edited by Ellie Avis, collection manager at Multnomah
County Library and by Kelly McElroy, student engagement and community
outreach librarian at Oregon State University. Potential authors are
