JOB TITLE:
Library Assistant (Part-Time and On-Call)

PRIMARY DUTIES:
Assist patrons at the circulation desk and via telephone; check library materials in and out; issue library cards; locate, retrieve, and shelve library materials

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working directly with the public in a library or other setting; excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, and time management skills; ability to operate standard library and office equipment; high school diploma or equivalent

HOURS:
Part-time and on-call; weekly 6-hour Saturday shift, plus occasional shifts to cover staff absences. On-call hours vary and may include evenings and weekends.

PAY:
$15.78 per hour, eligible for sick time accrual
