Hi Ryan,

If you let us know where they are going to school, perhaps one of the
librarians at that particular college might be able to better respond.
There are lots of open source options, and the one that Kathleen mentioned
is quite prominent. OTOH, if that particular textbook isn't the one used by
the course then it may not be relevant.
