Happy National Library Worker's Day! It's my favorite day of National Library Week and I hope you're able to celebrate. I'm grateful for the work you do every day to make libraries the heart of the community that you serve.

It's also School Library Month, and a great time to celebrate the work being done for students of all ages and backgrounds.

My first month as state librarian flew by! I was able to attend the OLA Reception at PLA, the LDLC meeting, and my first OLA Board Meeting last week. As I learn more about the library landscape here in Oregon, the deep dedication to library values shines through. I'm also impressed by the strength of the Oregon Library Association.
