This is great! Some good and quick options are these graphic novels:

- A Quick and Easy Guide to They/Them Pronouns by Archie Bongiovanni
- A Quick and Easy Guide to Queer and Trans Identities by Mady G

These would be good starting places For anyone wanting to learn more about the LGBTQ+ community.

Hello Everyone,

I had an elementary teacher approach me looking for resources about the
LGBTQ+ community. He is specifically looking to educate himself as much
LGBTQ+ as
possible about the community and also how to speak with students who approach him in the future.

Does anyone have any resources I might be able to pass along?

Salem, Ore - The Answerland Advisory Committee (AAC) will meet on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 2:00pm to 3:15pm Pacific Time online. This is a public meeting; those who would like to attend should contact Jennifer Cox (971-600-4992 or jennifer.cox at slo.oregon.gov<mailto:jennifer.cox at slo.oregon.gov>).
The AAC advises the State Library and the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Advisory Council on Answerland, and its membership is drawn from all areas of the state and representing the public, school, academic, and special libraries that use or provide service for Answerland.
Questions or concerns can be addressed to Jennifer Cox (971-600-4992 or jennifer.cox at slo.oregon.gov<mailto:jennifer.cox at slo.oregon.gov>).
Sign language interpretation will be provided for the public if requested 48 hours before the meeting; notice 72 hours before the meeting is preferred. Handouts of meeting materials may also be requested in alternate formats 72 hours before the meeting.
