Thanks all for the support!
It’s been a wild ride to handle an intellectual freedom challenge here in Crook County, but there is tremendous support from the LGBTQ+ and allied community, intellectual freedom fighters, and other fans of the public library. It feels good to be grounded in best practices established by ALA and intellectual freedom offices. To that end I want to thank Emily O’Neal and the rest of OIFC for assisting me while I was in the thick of it (and they continue to keep eyes on the Crook County School District as their school libraries are next up under the microscope of these concerned parents.) Big kudos to the entire CCL staff as we learned together and continue to provide a united front for unrestricted access to information.
Keep fighting the good fight!
April

Yes! April represented herself, community, and our profession just brilliantly – courageous, thoughtful, articulate, and knowledgeable.

Kudos to April Witteveen, Director for Crook County Library, for her thoughtful responses today on OPB Radio's "Think Out Loud" program -
