Dear Library Colleagues,

Please save the date! The 10th Annual Seguimos Creando Enlaces
Conference Presentation Sessions will be held virtually on Thursday, May
19, 2022.

First offered in 2012, Seguimos Creando Enlaces (Creating Connections) is a
free conference that fosters community connections and cultural diversity
in public, academic, and special libraries from the US, Mexico, and across
the globe! Conference sessions are proudly presented in both English and
Spanish and include live translation.

This year’s conference theme is reCreando Enlaces- reCreating Connections. The
2022 binational conference will include presentations that demonstrate how
public, academic, and special libraries on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico
border are reconnecting with their communities and rebuilding their
services to best support new user and staff needs in the wake of the
pandemic. We are especially interested in highlighting innovative projects that
include communities of color, immigrants, refugees, LGBTQIA+, Spanish
speakers/ESL resources, digital equity or binational collaborations.

Format Options (Pre-recorded or Live- 30 Minutes + 15 Minutes Live Q&A)

   -

   Panel Presentation— Group of 2-3 library or community leaders answer
   questions from a moderator and share best practices related to the
   conference theme. Panelists will identify a moderator for their
   presentation.
   -

   Library & Community Partner Presentation— Group of 2-3 presenters share
   examples of projects co-created with library partners.
   -

   Individual Presentation

This year’s theme is a timely and vital one. If you are doing work that is
responding to our new reality, please consider submitting a short proposal
by March 19th, 2022 by visiting the Creando website at

Estimados compañeros de servicios bibliotecarios,

¡Agenda la fecha! La 10ma Presentación de la Conferencia Anual Seguimos
Creando Enlaces  se llevará a cabo virtualmente el jueves 19 de mayo del
2022.

¡Ofrecida por primera vez en 2012, Seguimos Creando Enlaces es una
conferencia gratuita que fomenta las conexiones comunitarias y la
diversidad cultural en bibliotecas públicas, académicas y especiales de los
EE. UU., México y en todo el mundo! Las sesiones de la conferencia se
presentan orgullosamente en inglés y español e incluyen traducción en vivo.

El tema de la conferencia de este año es reCreando Enlaces. La conferencia
binacional del 2022 incluirá presentaciones que demuestran cómo las
bibliotecas públicas, académicas y especiales en ambos lados de la frontera
México-Estados Unidos están reconectando con sus comunidades y re
construyendo sus servicios para apoyar a nuevos usuarios, así como las
necesidades de sus empleados a partir de la pandemia. Estamos especialmente
interesados en destacar proyectos innovadores que incluyen comunidades de
color, migrantes, refugiados, la comunidad  LGBTQA+, hispanohablantes/
recursos para aprender inglés o colaboraciones binacionales.

Formato De Sesiones
(Pregrabadas o en vivo - 30 minutos + 15 minutos de sesión de preguntas en
vivo)

   Panel de discusión— Grupo de 2-3 líderes de participación ciudadana en
   bibliotecas responden a una discusión guiada por un moderador y comparten
   las mejores prácticas relacionadas con el tema de la conferencia. Será
   responsabilidad de los panelistas identificar a un moderador.
   -

   Presentación de una biblioteca y socios comunitarios— Grupo de 2-3
   presentadores comparten ejemplos de participación ciudadana co-creados con
   colaboradores comunitarios.
   -

   Presentación individual

El tema de este año es vital y oportuno. Si realizas trabajo que
corresponde a nuestra nueva realidad, por favor considera enviar una breve
propuesta a más tardar el 19 de marzo del 2022 visitando el sitio web de
