[Libs-Or] Deadline to apply for Bridging Knowledge Scholarship is April 1st

Hello Library Community,
The deadline to apply for the 2nd cohort of Bridging Knowledge: Supporting Indigenous Scholars in the Field of Librarianship IMLS grant project is April 1st.
During the initial recruitment 12 students were selected, and they have begun their online studies at SJSU.  Please share information about this scholarship opportunity on your social networks.
Applications are open for the Bridging Knowledge Grant Program<https://lam.alaska.gov/bridging-knowledge> sponsored by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Administered through the Alaska Library Network in partnership with the American Indian Library Association and the Alaska State Library, this grant will provide 15 scholarships to American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian graduate students to earn the Master of Library and Information Science degree with an advanced certificate in strategic management of digital assets and services at San Jose State University.

To be eligible for the Bridging Knowledge scholarship, applicants must:

  *   identify as American Indian, Alaska Native or Native Hawaiian
  *   provide proof of application in progress with the San José State University, School of Information MLIS program<https://ischool.sjsu.edu/mlis-admissions-requirements>

     *   SJSU Admission Requirements<https://ischool.sjsu.edu/mlis-admissions-requirements> A bachelor's degree from any regionally accredited institution<https://ope.ed.gov/dapip/#/home> in any discipline with an overall GPA of at least 3.0 in the bachelor's degree or in the last 60 semester or 90 quarter units.<https://ischool.sjsu.edu/post/gpa-calculation-instructions>
Deadline to Apply: April 1, 2022
Bridging Knowledge scholarship recipients will receive financial and scaffolded support to provide them with training and development throughout the program. Graduates of Bridging Knowledge will bridge contemporary digital practices with traditional knowledge.
