In October 2021, I took an afternoon off work and connected with my previous employers HR departments to get the verification forms signed and sent in. It was tedious and took way more time than I wanted it to. Nine months later, I can say that it was worth it, as my remaining undergraduate student loan balances were wiped clean last month. As the deadline approaches, I'm amplifying this message.

You must act before the Temporary Waiver for Public Service Loan Forgiveness expires on October 31, 2022.

Even if you will not have made 120 payments by October 31, 2022, you may receive credit for past payments that would not otherwise qualify for PSLF. But only if you act before October 31.

The webinar recording linked below and the attached slide deck are from April 2022, and full of relevant information from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

With all the uncertainty around potential executive action for loan forgiveness, please consider taking this step as well. It's worth your time!
