Incorporating Sustainability into Teaching, Programs, and Practice - self paced course begins March 6
Understand sustainability as a set of practices and as a discipline. Explore how various library organizations have adapted practices, created programming, and developed information-literacy learning modules with sustainability learning outcomes. Attendees will articulate how sustainability is interconnected to the development of information literacy and life-long learning skills by drafting a sustainability project plan, which will be presented to the entire class.
Learning objectives for this session include
• Incorporate sustainability elements into information literacy–based lessons, library programs, and practices.
• Design instruction, programming, and practices that incorporate the E’s of sustainability: Environment, social Equity, and Economics.

Introduction to Archival Practice - March 13 - 16, 2023, 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm CST
Gain an overview of archival practice by learning how to work with collections, describe and organize archival materials, and create a basic finding aid. Understand how to assist patrons with archival requests. Implement basic workflows, processes, and procedures to make collection maintenance and archival work easier.
Learning objectives for this session include:
• Describe the difference between an archive and a library
• Use available resources to describe and organize new archival contributions
