Greetings! I'm passing along these training opportunities for those who are interested in or are already helping patrons with their financial goals:

You can use these tools and materials to help people you serve meet their financial goals by increasing their knowledge and skills.

The trainings include:
*        Booklets to Help Talk About Money, Thursday, February 2, 2023, 12:00 - 1:00p PT. Use these bright, interactive booklets<https://www.consumerfinance.gov/consumer-tools/educator-tools/your-money-your-goals/booklets-talk-about-money/> to help people address common financial stressors. The four booklets cover being behind on bills, getting a handle on debt, understanding credit, and safeguarding savings.
*        Focus on People with Disabilities, Thursday, February 9, 2023, 12:00 - 1:00p PT. This guide<https://www.consumerfinance.gov/consumer-tools/educator-tools/your-money-your-goals/companion-guides/#anchor_disabilities> contains tips, information, tools, and skill-building resources for people with disabilities and organizations that serve the disability community. It's based on the idea that everyone has a right to control their own money and make their own financial decisions.
*        Materials for Spanish-speakers and Multilingual Audiences, Thursday, February 16, 2023, 12:00 - 1:00p PT. The training will be in English and will feature 11 key tools that are available in Spanish. Additional CFPB resources in languages other than English will be highlighted. Topics will include protecting your identity and avoiding scams, what to do when debt collectors call, requesting and reviewing credit reports, prioritizing bills and more.
*        Focus on Reentry, Thursday, February 23, 2023, 12:00 - 1:00p PT. This guide<https://www.consumerfinance.gov/consumer-tools/educator-tools/your-money-your-goals/companion-guides/#anchor_reentry> is designed to address financial issues unique to justice-involved individuals and their families. Materials can be used while someone is awaiting trial or sentencing, in jail or prison, or following release and in community settings.

Each session will also review how to submit a complaint to the CFPB to get help with a financial product or service. The materials featured in these trainings are available for free in print, electronic, and video formats.
