[Libs-Or] Nominations open for OLA Staff Training RT leadership positions

Greetings!

The Staff Training Round Table is looking for OLA members to serve in leadership positions starting September 1, 2023.  We have open positions for the following:


  *   Chair (2023-24): Sets agendas, sends meeting reminders, and facilitates meetings. Also takes the lead in compiling the annual report with input from members. Past Chair will assist as needed.

  *   Chair-elect (2023-24, then Chair for 2024-25) Assists with any or all the duties of the Chair and serves as Chair the following year.

  *   Secretary (2023-24): Takes notes at the meetings, distributes notes to members, and manages the STRT webpages<https://www.olaweb.org/staff-training-round-table-home> on the OLA website.
We are looking for individuals at all levels and from all backgrounds and library types who enjoy staff training and development and are interested in a leadership opportunity.

This is the charge of our round table:
The Staff Training Round Table (STRT) is a resource for any library staff member who is involved with staff training at their library. Membership in this group will allow libraries across the state to discuss current training issues and best practices, share resources, and collaborate on building future training to meet the needs of an ever-evolving profession.

Meetings are held monthly and additional activities (presentations, etc.) are at the discretion of the round table members, who in practice perform much of the work of the group. And if you aren't already a member of the Staff Training Round Table, you can join for free at any time!

  *   your name
  *   your job position/title
  *   why you are interested in the position
Elections for positions with more than one nomination will be held in early July.
