[Libs-Or] LSTA Council soon seeking new members

The State Library of Oregon will soon be accepting nominations for the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Advisory Council<https://www.oregon.gov/library/libraries/Pages/lstaac.aspx>. Learn more about the Council in the member handbook<https://libguides.osl.state.or.us/lstaac-handbook>.


OPEN POSITIONS


We are intending to fill the following positions (pending State Library Board approval on Oct 13):

  *   Representative for Underserved / Under-represented Persons (2 positions)
  *   School Libraries Representative (2 positions)
  *   Tribal Libraries Representative (1 position)

Terms are for three years, beginning on January 1, 2024 and ending on December 31, 2026.


Members may receive reimbursement for reasonable expenses incurred in connection with serving on the Council. This could include costs associated with participating virtually (example: headset) or engaging a substitute in order to attend meetings.


NOMINATION PROCESS


The nomination form<https://www.cognitoforms.com/StateLibraryOfOregon/LibraryServicesAndTechnologyActLSTAAdvisoryCouncilNominations> will open October 16 and will close October 31.

It is fine to nominate yourself or someone else you feel would be a good candidate.
