Hi Ericka,
I may be interested in chairing the Intellectual Freedom Committee. I am
interested in exploring AI and its impacts on education,
especially reference, access to resources for incarcerated students in
higher education, and access to K-12 literature that supports intrapersonal
awareness and growth at both public and school libraries.
Currently, I will retire from PSU in March 2025; yet I plan to continue my
membership with OLA and ACRL Oregon. In the past, I chaired the Oregon
Authors committee and oversaw the publication of the last two print
editions as well as the migration to the web. I am sorry that we lost the
domain; however, oregonauthors.com is available.
If you can share any information about chair responsibilities, I would
appreciate it. If I am interested in chairing, what are the next steps?
Best,
Kim
