[Libs-Or] Cornelius Library Director transition

Hello library community,

After 18 years of working as Director of the Cornelius Public Library, I am retiring!

Maria Aguilar, long-time Cornelius Librarian, has been appointed as Interim Director. She can be reached at maria.aguilar at corneliusor.gov<mailto:maria.aguilar at corneliusor.gov> or 503-357-4093.

It has been a total of 30 years for me, beginning at the Southern Oregon University Library and topping off at Cornelius. I vividly remember my first library job was to apply barcodes to books so we could start up an automated system. Libraries have come a long way since then!

I am so proud to have been a part of an essential democratic institution and to have worked with so many brilliant, compassionate, and dedicated colleagues.

I can't begin to express the deep appreciation I have for all the individuals who have inspired, mentored, and supported me.
