The Oregon Library Association Technical Services Round Table (OLA TSRT) is offering one $1000 scholarship to cover the cost of attending the OLA 2024 Conference in Salem, lodging, and membership in OLA and TSRT.


About TSRT

TSRT's general objective is to provide a framework for information sharing, continuing education, and moral support for library workers currently engaged in Technical services activities. Specifically, the group has three goals:

· To provide for the exchange of ideas on technical services and automation processes, systems, and policies.

· To provide a medium for the exploration of new ideas and technologies.

· To foster cooperation among all Oregon libraries in the areas of technical services and automation and to increase an awareness in the library community of the roles of technical and automation services.


Application Process

You qualify to apply if:

· You are employed in a library position in Oregon with technical services duties (such as acquisitions, collection development, processing, cataloging) and;

· You are a member of OLA and TSRT or become a member before registering for the conference (scholarship funds may be used to cover the cost of membership).


To apply, complete the Scholarship Application below including short responses to the following questions:

· Describe (in 200 words or less) how attending OLA will help meet your needs for professional and personal growth.

· Commit to taking an active role in TSRT following the conference.

· Describe (in 200 words or less) how you will provide support/service to TSRT following the conference. (e.g., joining the steering committee, or taking ownership of a TSRT project such as planning a conference session or reviewing scholarship applications).


To apply, complete the application by 11:59 pm March 11. Award recipients will be notified as soon as possible and no later than March 18th. Early Bird registration ends March 22nd.
