Hi all,

We're looking to fill out a few panels at the 2024 OLA Conference focused
on Friends, Foundations, and Boards. If you are willing and able or if you
know of the perfect person (maybe that person is a member of your support
groups?), reply to this email and let us know!

*Amazing Friends & Foundations*
*Session slot:* Thursday at 2:15 p.m.
*Description:* What makes an amazing library support group? Join us for a
panel discussion and group share exploring just that! Examine both sides of
the support group-library dynamic, see what works for other organizations,
and celebrate this integral aspect of library life.
Learning goals:

*Friends' Booksales: Maximizing Impact *
*Session slot:* Thursday at 4 p.m.
*Description: *Want to spice up your booksales? Join us for this panel
share and Q&A session! Friends groups from around Oregon will share their
success stories and all participants will have the opportunity to share,
ask questions, and troubleshoot hurdles together.

*Library Boards 101: Governing Boards, Advisory Boards, and Attorneys *
*Session slot: *Thursday at 11 a.m.
*Description:* Library governance is confusing. Who is Robert and why does
he care so much about rules? Whether you have decades of experience or are
completely new to interacting with governing bodies, we invite you to join
us for a panel share and extensive Q&A about library governance. Our panel
consists of library leadership, board members, and attorneys who can share
their knowledge and experience. We can't promise we'll have all the
answers, but we can help each other feel a bit more confident for our next
board meeting.
